The Reigakusha is a performance group that has been conducting research on gagaku ensemble music. This performance will introduce the kangen and bugaku forms of gagaku, which are considered the world's oldest orchestral forms of gagaku. In addition to such classics as "Heisho-on-dori," "Koshiten-rakku," and "Taishokushi-on-dori," the orchestra will perform "Sokaku-no-uta" composed by Shiba Yuyasu and "Kanjiroku [Right-Handed]," a gagaku dance piece. In between performances, there will be introductions and explanations of the instruments, carefully conveying the elegant sounds of gagaku and the graceful dances. There will be a choice of outdoor or indoor seating, a unique feature of the Koshigaya Noh Theater, and free admission to the Hanada-en Japanese garden upon presentation of the ticket.
