Ensemble Amoibe's "Schoenberg Series vol. 2" focuses on the important period from late Romanticism to atonal music. Mayuko Ishigami and Chisa Kitagawa (violin), Ayako Tahara (viola), and Kanon Shibata (cello) will perform rarely performed string quartets No. 0 (D major) and No. 1 (D minor, op. 7) with great care. With a lecture by Kyoto University Associate Professor Yuta Asai, the quartets will provide the audience with a new listening experience through a deep reading of the compositional background and stylistic transitions.
