The Road to Bach and From Bach Vol.2

For us piano players, Bach is inevitably the oldest composer. However, Bach also studied his predecessors. What kind of music existed before Bach and what kind of music became Bach? What kind of music existed before Bach and became Bach, and what kind of paths did the composers after Bach follow? This time, we will focus on Ligeti, who passed away in 2006, and Kurtág, who is still active. Before Bach, we will look at Pachelbel, famous for his Canon, and Buxtehude, whom I am studying. Finally, I have included works by Liszt, who was a deep student of Bach.
