Nyoirin Koshiki - Tendai Shomyo and Kangen Unofficial

This performance focuses on the traditional sounds of the Tendai shomyo and kangen. The Tendai Shomyo Shichishoukai will perform the shomyo and the Reigakusha will perform the kangen, recreating the ancient ritual music of the "Nyoirin Koshiki". Kayono Shiba (Chiba University Professor) will give a commentary before the performance, providing a valuable and profound performing arts experience that can be enjoyed while understanding the background of this religious ritual and the characteristics of the instruments and voices.
