Ota City Amateur Orchestra Festival 2025 Part 2: Ota City Haydn Chamber Orchestra

The concert opens with the exciting melody of "The Marriage of Figaro," which was used at the beginning of the American comedy film "The Great Reversal.

Beethoven's Symphony No. 8, which will be performed next, is relatively compact among Beethoven's symphonies, but is full of elements that make it fun to listen to, including the second movement, which is said to have been inspired by a metronome, and the third movement, which was inspired by a mail coach horn.

The second half of the concert will feature Brahms's Violin Concerto, with the soloist, Prof. Yoko Yoshihara, who has been teaching our group for a long time as a concert mistress. Completed the year after Brahms composed his Second Symphony, the solo violin and orchestra engage in a dialogue in the profound, symphony-like sound of the piece.
