Kanako Katoh Quartet Around the World in 80 minutes

Around the World in 80 Minutes" is a quartet featuring accordionist Kanako Katoh, banjoist Ken Aoki, violinist Shinichi Hata, who has mastered Arabic music, and frame drum virtuoso Takashi Tajima. The four players, each of whom studied in France and Egypt, combine their solid skills with humor to create a succession of diverse ethnic music, improvisational rhythms, and melodies that depict scenes. Please enjoy this one-of-a-kind musical journey where familiarity and sophisticated performance expression coexist.
