Quartet Fuuga
Nobuko Yamazaki Produced "Chamber Music for the Future" by Shining Young Performers Vol.9
2025/10/03(Fr.) 14:00 Starting
Master cellist Nobuko Yamazaki introduces young chamber music groups that are making great strides in the world today and in the future in the "Chamber Music for the Future" series. This year's program will once again feature a string quartet of note.
Quartet Fuuga is an up-and-coming group that is the focus of attention after winning the first prize in the string quartet division of the 13th Akiyoshidai Music Competition. The members of the Quartet Kazemasa, who are also active as soloists, have been steadily improving through their studies at the Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy and in the classes of Clive Greensmith, a former member of the Tokyo Quartet.
This time they will perform Beethoven's early works, Schumann's masterpiece composed at the beginning of his "Year of Chamber Music," and Onslow's "Bullet," a masterpiece for two cellos in string quintet with their teacher Mr. Yamazaki. We hope you will enjoy this vivid performance of masterpieces from the period that bridges the gap from classical to romantic music.
