Conductor/Instructor: Ryutaro Horie
Conductor, composer, arranger, and wind band instructor. Graduated from Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music High School, Leipzig University of Music, and Berlin University of the Arts Graduate School at the top of his class. Obtained German National Performer Certificate.
Full-time lecturer at the German State Music School, soloist at the Menuhin Music Foundation, contracted member of the Nordhausen Opera, Tokyo Kosei WO and Gewandhaus Orchestra, etc,
He has made numerous guest appearances with symphony orchestras in Japan and abroad, and has appeared in a total of over 3,000 concerts.
He is the music director of the Hokkaido Tokachi Shimizu Wind Orchestra. He has been guest conducting, judging competitions, teaching at schools, and giving private lessons in Japan and abroad.
Instructed more than 80 schools, including junior high schools, high schools, and universities throughout Japan. He also teaches wind bands and high schools in Taiwan, and gives private and group lessons in China and Korea.
