Exploring Classical Piano Works with Fortepiano Unofficial

In this performance to be held in the small hall of Kunitachi College of Music Auditorium, Chie Hirai will perform and explain representative piano works of the Classical period on the fortepiano. Itaru Ohtagaki, who is in charge of instrumental commentary, will introduce the fortepiano's structure and tonal characteristics in an easy-to-understand manner, and explore the instrument's historical background and performance techniques in depth. The program, which combines performance and commentary, promotes understanding of the appeal of classical music and performance practices of the time, and satisfies intellectual curiosity in both performance and learning.
