Ancient Japanese tunes and restored instruments come together in one special evening. The Reigakusha, led by music director Mayumi Miyata, will perform the restored Tenpyo Biwa score translated and restored by Sukeyasu Shiba, as well as newly selected music scores, Ryubue pieces, and Enrakudaikyoku. The program will be colored with instruments from the Shosoin Repository, scales from the Nara period, and a modern restoration of the Tangaku style, allowing the audience to fully experience the essence of kogaku that transcends time and space.
