The program is as follows.
Brahms Symphony No. 2 in D major
Brahms composed his Symphony No. 2 in D major in June 1877, while staying in Pertsach on the shores of Lake Werther in southern Austria, and completed it in only four months. It is also called Brahms' "Countryside Symphony" because of its bright and lively atmosphere.

Fauré Suite "Pelléas et Mélisande" (Pelléas and Mélisande)
Fauré composed this piece as incidental music for the English translation of Maurice Maeterlinck's play "Pelléas et Mélisande" in 1898. From these works, "Prelude," "The Woman Who Spins a Thread," and "The Death of Melisande" were published as an orchestral suite version, and "Sicilienne" and "The Song of Melisande" were added later. Since "Melisande's Song" is for voices, it is often performed with the other four pieces.

Stanford Irish Rhapsody No. 1 in D minor
The Irish Rhapsody No. 1 was composed in 1901, and was the sixth in the series of rhapsodies composed by Stanford until his death. It is rich in beauty and power, and is skillfully interwoven with the Irish folk song "The Song of Londonderry. It is a hidden masterpiece that makes one feel as if one has heard it somewhere before.
