In this performance, mezzo-soprano Mutsumi Hatano will carefully convey the basics of Schubert's song cycle "Winterreise". She will demonstrate the world of the poems as deciphered from the Japanese translation of the titles, with techniques of Japanese pronunciation, grammar, and musical expression, and explain in depth the feelings and structure of each piece.
