Reiko Tsukishiro Ricercare Project #01 Contraction

Reiko Tsukishiro, a traverso/flutist living in The Hague, the Netherlands, has launched a new series called "Ricercare Project" as her life's work.
In this first performance, she will "explore Ricercare" from the Renaissance to the present day with the keyword "contraction = construction".

The performance will include "Ricercata" by Giovanni Bassano, a 16th century Venetian composer, and "Contraptions for Traverso," a new work written by contemporary composer Takuto Fukuda for Chikkyo.
These works from different eras and different approaches will intersect on a single stage.

The intimate space of the Ryogoku Monten Hall will allow for a dialogue with the sound and with the performers.
