All-Japan Yokobue (transverse flute) Contest in Yokohama!
The All Japan Yokobue (transverse flute) Competition is held every June in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, and has become a gateway to success for professional transverse flute players.
Shinobue, Noh flute, dragon flute, and other flute players gather from all over Japan to compete in this stage of serious competition for skill and expression.
The competition awards the honors of "gold flute (first place)," "silver flute (second place)," and "bronze flute (third place).
In 2025, two players became the first in history to win all three flutes.
They will perform together again on August 29 in Yokohama.
This is the first Kanto concert supported by the All Japan Yokobue Competition.
The excitement of Hirosaki will be recreated in Yokohama.
