This performance, selected and performed by musician Yumiko Segawa, will feature a diverse piano program of 10 works by Boulez, Joh Kondo, Brahms, and others, resonating with Paul Klee's formative thinking. After the performance, a conversation with navigator Mitori Tanaka will delve deeply into the structure of the works and the background of their creation, allowing you to experience the unique sound created by the Segaway-project's method of deconstruction and reconstruction in the serene setting of Ryogoku Monten Hall.
Program
This is a deconstruction/reconstruction + alpha version of Segaway-project's 10 years of resonance with Paul Klee's painting and figurative thinking. The program includes a re-commissioned work by Paul Klee, and an invitation to a dreamlike "zoukyo-thinking" like the "Klee Exhibition" that focuses on the "structure" of works by Boulez and Bucureshlieff, who are celebrating the 100th anniversary of their birth. An invitation to dreamlike "echoic thinking" like the "Clay Exhibition.
