Marimba player Koichev Ivaylo will appear in this popular one-coin, easygoing series for a precious moment before lunch. Reflecting his roots as a Bulgarian-born and raised in Kobe, Ivaylo has selected pieces by composers from his native country and Japan. With his limpid and powerful percussion, he will perform Bulgarian rhapsody "Vardar" and Kosaku Yamada's "Red Dragonfly," among others, in a diverse program condensed into approximately one hour, including duo works with Saaro Fujimoto on piano and Yuta Kurosawa on percussion. This is a must-see recital that conveys the full appeal of the marimba with the fresh expression of an up-and-coming artist.
