Nagamine Chamber Orchestra 2nd Concert

Hello, we are the Nagamine Chamber Orchestra. We are the Nagamine Chamber Orchestra.

The Nagamine Chamber Orchestra (NCO) was formed by members who want to play music with our conductor, Daisuke Nagamine.
Many of the members are usually active in different groups, but the purpose of the NCO is to perform music with a chamber orchestra, which is rarely performed by amateur orchestras, and to perform classical and similar works that are often performed with larger orchestras. The purpose of the concert is to perform classical and similar works with a chamber orchestra, which are usually performed with a large orchestra.
The first concert in 2024 featured Mozart's overture to "The Magic Flute" and Brahms' Symphony No. 3 with chamber orchestra, as well as Richard Strauss' "Serenade for 13 Wind Instruments" by the wind ensemble, which was well received.
This second concert will feature Mozart's Symphony No. 32, written in a single movement in the form of an Italianate overture, and Wagner's "Siegfried Pastorale," the only work written for a small orchestra, in the first half, and Brahms' Symphony No. 1 in the second half, which is approximately the same size as the first performance (recorded as 47 players). The second half will feature Brahms's Symphony No. 1 with about the same size orchestra (45 musicians) as at the first performance (47 musicians).
We want to faithfully reproduce the music as the composer wrote it in the score, taking into account our understanding of harmony and phrasing, as well as the period in which the piece was written and the conventions of performance.
Together with Daisuke Nagamine, we pursue better performances without compromise.
