PRIEM WIND ENSEMBLE 13th Concert

PRIEM WIND ENSEMBLE is pleased to present its 13th concert!
This year, we will again offer a diverse program, including a piece commissioned by our group by Mr. Michio Kitazume.
All the members of the ensemble look forward to seeing you at the concert!


About PRIEM
PRIEM is a word coined from the initial letters of Process, Recherche, Inspection, Expression, and Musique. With these five words as its philosophy, the group was established in the spring of 2011 to try and present a variety of music, regardless of the opportunities for performance.
Coincidentally, the Great East Japan Earthquake occurred at the same time, so we pondered, "What songs should we play now, and what songs should we pass on to the next generation? We have selected the pieces through a series of lectures and discussions with Toru Oki, our Music Director.
We are also working on a number of contemporary Japanese works, with direct support from composers and teachers.

In 2022, the orchestra made a new start with Mr. Oki, who has been conducting and teaching the orchestra since its foundation, as the founding music director and Mr. Ryo Nakashiro as the permanent conductor.
While keeping the philosophy of the founding of the orchestra in mind, we continue to search for further possibilities in our activities.
