The first Bruckner work the orchestra will perform is Symphony No. 5, a masterpiece of architectural beauty that is unique among his long symphonies. It is a masterpiece that stands out from the other symphonies in the long list of symphonies and can be regarded as a masterpiece of architectural beauty.
The majestic chorales, recurring themes, and the elaborate counterpoint create a sound that is truly a cathedral of sound. Because of its uniqueness, the first performance of the original version was finally realized in 1935, more than 40 years after its completion. Today, 90 years later, after passing through a turbulent period, it stands tall as one of Bruckner's most popular works.
The overwhelming sense of satisfaction and elation that comes after listening to the final movement, with its huge fugue, is incomparable to anything else.

In the first half of the concert, we have the "Adagio" from the String Quintet, one of the few chamber works written around the same time as No. 5. This masterpiece, with its deep breaths and grandiose ideas, is performed on an even grander scale by a string ensemble.
The string ensemble brings out the undulation and expansion of the melody, which is the other essence of Bruckner's music.
