Yuriai Nakajima Piano Recital

<On the occasion of the recital
I have loved the piano since I was a child and have been playing it ever since. I am fortunate to be able to participate in the International Chopin Piano Competition to be held in Warsaw in October 2025. I am filled with anticipation, but I also feel a sense of pressure, but I will do my best to perform to the best of my ability.

Born in Tsuyama City, Okayama Prefecture in 2009. Currently a first-year student at Tokyo University of the Arts Senior High School.

She was taught by her mother from her childhood and has been a student at the Junior College of the Moscow Conservatory Special Performance Course at Kurashiki Sakuyo University since the age of 9. She received instruction from Dmitry Ryutkov, Aleksandr Bershinin, Elena Savelyeva, Andrei Mikita, and other professors of the Moscow Conservatory. She is currently studying with Chika Matsushima and Mami Hagiwara. She has attended master classes given by many famous pianists including Anjay Jasinski, Dina Yoffe, and Mikhail Voskresensky.

She won the highest prize in the recital course of the 21st Osaka International Music Competition at the youngest age of 10. He won the Silver Prize at the 25th Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia, Professional Division, at the youngest age of 14 years old. The 14th International Piano Competition of Europe in Japan, Special Course, Special Prize, Grand Prix, Akiko Sugitani Prize. As a prize, she gave a solo recital in Switzerland and performed with an orchestra in Italy. Received the 25th Okayama Prefecture Arts and Culture Award.

She passed the preliminary round of the 19th International Chopin Piano Competition held in April-May this year, and is scheduled to participate in the main competition starting in October.

Therefore, before heading there, I would like to perform the piece I plan to play in Warsaw in front of all of you. We look forward to meeting many of you on that day.
