Kohei Yamamoto, a tenor singer who is gaining recognition in the opera world both in Japan and abroad, will sing a recital that spans the classical and contemporary repertoire, from J.S. Bach's authoritative Passions and famous cantata arias to Schreker, Henze, Toshiro Mayuzumi's "Kinkakuji," Berg's "Please Close My Eyes," and contemporary songs by Reim and Wainwright. The program will include a wide variety of pieces by Schreker, Henze, Toshiro Mayuzumi "Kinkakuji", Berg "Close My Eyes", and contemporary songs by Rihm and Wayne Wright. The program will feature the textural dialogue and expressive singing of Yoko Tategami on piano and Kore Takahashi on soprano.
