The New Japan Symphony Orchestra's 115th Subscription Concert is a program planned with the hope that the audience and the orchestra will experience the heat of a live classical concert, the resonance and excitement of a concert hall, and enjoy the concert to their heart's content. This year's program will feature music that you have "surely heard" or "know the titles of" in TV dramas and commercials, from a selection of music that is suitable for conveying the passion of a live concert.
The program will include Richard Strauss' symphonic poem "Don Juan," based on a legendary Spanish character who had a passionate love affair with many women; Stravinsky's 1919 Suite from the ballet "The Firebird," a masterpiece based on two Russian folk tales; and Beethoven's nine symphonies, including "The Firebird" and "The Firebird" (1919). Symphony No. 7," which has a particularly impressive rhythm and has been described as "the sanctification of dance," will be performed under the baton of Yoshiaki Teramoto, who will make his first appearance at a subscription concert of the New Japan Symphony Orchestra.
