The Bedrish String Quartet was formed in 2002 by French members who were still students at the Boulogne Conservatory. Since then, two members have been replaced. This concert is the first solo concert in Japan without a co-star. You can fully enjoy the sound of the quartet. Taking advantage of the beautiful, unified sound that is the hallmark of the quartet, we have chosen Fauré for the main quartet piece. We have also included a quartet by a rare French female composer, Tailleferre. The rest of the quartet will be arranged by Jacques Gandard, 1st Vn, and will include small pieces from familiar classics to unknown masterpieces, with commentary. Bizet's overture to the opera "Carmen," Chopin's "Farewell," Ravel's "Couperin's Tomb," and Chabrier's rarely heard pieces are definitely worth listening to! Also featured on French radio. Whether you want to enjoy a full repertoire or find string quartets difficult, this concert is for everyone. We are pleased to present to you a quality-oriented and friendly concert that has been well received throughout France and Japan.
