A celebration of Francisco Talega's birthday by Takuya Okamoto, a pioneer of the guitar world.
He depicts the joys and sorrows of life by using two guitars, one from the 19th century and the other from the modern era.

<Message from Takuya Okamoto
The works of Francisco Talega, the "father of modern guitar music," continue to capture the hearts of people today.
On November 21, Talega's birthday, I will perform his original works, his arrangements of works by composers he respected, and my own selections inspired by them.

<Takuya Okamoto Profile

Born in Chiba Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he moved to Europe. He studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, and after completing the master's course at the same university in 2018 with the highest unanimous score, he started his performance activities based in Japan. In recent years, he has been weaving a repertoire of not only original guitar pieces but also many of his own arrangements into his programs.
While in Europe, he studied historical performance with Ingomar Rainer and lute performance with Luciano Contini. He has given master classes and recitals at the Vienna Forum International Guitar Festival and other international guitar festivals throughout Europe. In addition to solo and chamber music, he has expanded his activities throughout Japan as a member of the guitar quartet "Talega Guitar Quartet" (Gen Matsuda, Aoi Hui Park, Shinichiro Tokunaga, Takuya Okamoto), which he formed in 2015. He has studied under the late Yasushi Hiratsuka, Masashi Shinohara, and Alvaro Pieri.
