Kaeko Ishii is a pianist who has garnered attention by winning top prizes at numerous national and international competitions, including the 2013 Japan Music Competition. While many pianists have immersed themselves in glamorous activities at a young age, Kaeko Ishii went to Europe and studied diligently for eight years in Cologne, Germany, and Basel, Switzerland. The fruit of her study was winning the Brahms International Competition in 2019 and the Grieg International Piano Competition in 2010, and she will finally move her base to Japan in 2024.
