The Nazdoravi Philharmonic Orchestra
The Nazdravi Philharmonic was founded in 2007 by a group of amateur musicians who love Czech beer and Czech music. The name "Nazdravi" means "toast" in Czech.
The orchestra strives to create a conceptual program for each concert, and actively features works by Czech composers who are rarely performed in Japan, such as Wenceslav Novák, Oskar Nedvall, Julius Huciuk, Václav Váčkáš, Clement Slavický, Jakub Jan Riba, and many others. The orchestra will actively feature works by
The orchestra will be led by Masanori Saeki, a great admirer of Maestro Wenceslas Neumann. His conducting style, backed by his love for Maestro Wenceslas Neumann, is very appealing.
The orchestra has been accomplishing the Dvořák Symphony Cycle Project, and the performance of Symphony No. 1 "The Bells of Zlonice" on January 18, 2009, which marked the start of the cycle, was a memorable opportunity for the orchestra to perform the piece for the first time in Japan.
