Our Story."
It was 1987, more than 30 years ago. It all started with a fateful encounter with Mr. Yuji Yamada, a trombone instructor at Shobi Gakuen Junior College.
His weekly lessons were like a dream come true, as he took his time to convince us of the importance of the lesson.
All of the majors left the school with a sense of pride and gratitude for having met such a wonderful teacher whom they truly adored.
Some went on to graduate school, some to teach, etc., but the SHOBI trombone spirit of that time will live on in our hearts and minds.
The day finally came!
In January 2023, Mr. Yuji Yamada and his six students gathered on the second floor of an Okinawan restaurant in Ueno, Tokyo. Let's do music with him again!
The SHOBI Trombone Spirit!
Ensemble Fossette was born.

Last year, we held our first independent performance at the Tokyo Dojin Christ Church, where we tried a new challenge of performing harp and trombone together, and many people came to listen to our performance.
And this year, we are pleased to be able to hold the SECOND CONCERT, titled Harp and Trombone Feast II, with harpist Risa Shimizu again, as we did last year!
In addition, as a special guest, Mr. Fumio Goto, euphonium player & professor of Shobi Gakuen University, will play with us.
