Baritone Rihiro Kuratoh Recital "Dream Journey

　The first half of the program featured a collection of songs on poems by Takehisa Yumeji. We will also perform "Seven Songs on Poems by Takehisa Yumeji (all songs)" by popular composer Makiko Kinoshita.
　The second half of the program will be "Tomikyu," a new rakugo song composed by Hiroyuki Nakayama. Rakugo utagari is a new genre of music in which baritone Riyo Kuratoh has written several poems based on rakugo stories, and Mr. Nakayama has added music to them. The songs are performed with the same accompaniment as in a real rakugo performance, and the story is sung to music just like a rakugo story. The songs are full of interesting aspects, such as the punch lines and the description of the scene.
