Founded in 1952, the Kawasaki Citizens' Symphony Orchestra (Kawakyo) is Kawasaki's oldest citizen orchestra, and held its 200th anniversary subscription concert in September 2024, which was attended by a very large audience.

The 202nd concert will feature Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D minor, Op. 35, with Ms. Chisako Naoe, Principal Violinist of the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, we will perform Polonaise from the opera "Evgeny Onegin" and Symphony No. 2 in C minor, Op. 17 as an all-Tchaikovsky program.
