Osaka International Chamber Music Festa 2023 Menuhin Gold Prize
Tengger Ayalguu is a Mongolian traditional music quintet formed in 1997 by students and graduates of the Mongolian National University of Culture and Arts to carry out activities to preserve and promote traditional Mongolian folk arts recorded in ancient scripts. Since its formation, the quintet has performed in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Russia, Hungary, Finland, Italy, and the United States, and has won awards at international music festivals and competitions. The group has released CD albums, music videos, and published books on music composition and arrangement. Many of the members are university professors and are involved in research activities as well as concert performances.
The name of the group, Tengel Ayargoo, means "melody in the sky.
