Sekishi Wind Ensemble 44th Regular Concert

The Sekishi Wind Ensemble was formed in the fall of 1980 by graduates of Sekishi Junior High School. Today, we are a band of working adults who enjoy playing wind ensemble together in the suburbs of Hamamatsu.

This year's concert featured five pieces, including D. Shostakovich's "Festive Overture" (arranged by D. Hansberger), Yoshio Mamiya's "Catalan Glory," and R. Rogers' "Sound of Music Selection" (arranged by R. Bennett), while the second part featured J. Olivadotti's "Carnival of Roses" and C.T. Smith's "Amazing Grace. Smith's "Symphonic Variations on Amazing Grace" and A. Reed's "First Suite for Wind Band" will be performed.
