Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi Music Director Memorial Bach: Suite for Unaccompanied Cello Unofficial

This concert, which marks the opening of the 46th Kirishima International Music Festival, will be directed and performed by Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi in commemoration of the awarding of the Order of Culture and the Minami-Nihon Bunka Prize to the director of Suntory Hall and a member of the Japan Art Academy, and will feature J.S. Bach's Suite for Unaccompanied Cello performed by Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi, the director of Suntory Hall, and Tatsuru Sasanuma, guest principal of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Bach Collegium Japan, and Fumino Uemura of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. The three performers will weave together the lyricism and technical mastery of each movement with their own unique tones and expressions. The rich acoustical space of the Miyama Concert Hall will accentuate the deep resonance of the cello, inviting the audience to a supreme chamber music experience.
