At a time when Italian opera was the mainstream and German opera was in the shadows, Weber, a pioneer of the Romantic school, inherited Mozart's technique and wrote a full-fledged German opera with epoch-making advances in dramatic and epic expression.
After World War I, Hindemith aimed to break away from Romanticism, promoted neo-imagism, and strongly influenced his contemporaries as a representative German composer of the 20th century.
Beethoven's Sixth Symphony is considered to be a pioneer in the field of title music, in which Beethoven unusually gave titles to his own works, and its unified compositional method with thorough development of motives is superb.
The common point is that each composer revolutionized the musical culture of his time, and we are proud to present a program of authentic German works with a sense of unity and a touch of Viennese style.
