Violin: Ayumi Arai
Ayumi Arai won the Jury's Encouragement Prize in the General C Division of the 4th Japan Music Competition.
She has participated for two consecutive years in the Italian Quartet Festival, for which Mario Brunello is the music director. She has performed chamber music, including concerts in the suburbs of Evian, France and two appearances with a string quartet at the Jiyugaoka Classical Music Festival.
Currently, she is a certified instructor of violin at Yamaha Music School, a commissioned trainer for the chamber music club of Kawawa High School in Kanagawa Prefecture, and a member of the Japan String Teachers Association.
She studied under Shizuka Ishikawa, Hanako Kamisato, Junko Monoshujo, and K. Guntner.
