The 282nd Subscription Concert of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra at The Symphony Hall will feature Verdi's masterpiece "Requiem" as its main program, a performance not to be missed. Under the baton of permanent conductor Kazufumi Yamashita, the orchestra will be joined by Japan's leading soloists, including Mari Moriya (soprano), Michiko Hayashi (alto), Tetsutaro Shimizu (tenor), and Takayuki Ito (bass). In addition, the Osaka Symphony Chorus will join them to depict Verdi's soul-stirring musical world on a grand scale.

The Requiem, which Verdi composed as a mass for the death of a close friend, is a dramatic work in which his talents as an opera composer are on full display. The music vividly depicts all aspects of human emotion, including solemn choruses, beautiful arias, and expressions of intense anger. The overwhelming power and sometimes subtle beauty of the music will deeply affect the listener and leave an unforgettable impression.

Conductor Kazushi Yamashita is known for his passionate and precise conducting that brings out the full potential of the Osaka Symphony Orchestra. We have high expectations for Mr. Yamashita's interpretation of Verdi's "Requiem," a work of such magnitude.

Soprano Mari Moriya captivates the audience with her beautiful, clear voice and outstanding singing ability. We look forward to seeing how she sings the soprano part, which plays an important role in the "Requiem. Michiko Hayashi, alto, has a deep, rich voice that gives the work its gravity and warmth. Her expressive voice will deeply penetrate the hearts of the listeners.

Tenor Tetsutaro Shimizu's strong and extended voice attracts the audience. We are looking forward to hearing how Shimizu's voice will echo the dramatic expression of the tenor part in the "Requiem. Bass Takayuki Ito will support the core of the work with his imposing, dignified, and stable voice. His profound voice will bring depth and stability to the work.

The powerful voices of the Osaka Symphony Chorus will further enhance the grandeur of the Requiem. Under the guidance of chorus conductor Takashi Nakamura, the polished harmonies of the chorus will overwhelm the audience.
