Saudade

　European Portugal and South American Brazil, with Portuguese as the common language.
During the Age of Discovery, Brazil had a history of being colonized by Portugal.
The Portuguese were the first Westerners to come to Japan, and many of the Japanese words we take for granted today are of Portuguese origin.
With this history in mind, I would like to immerse myself in the popular songs of both countries, samba and fado.
　The word "Saudade" is said to mean nostalgia, love, sadness, and a sense of nostalgia that cannot be fully expressed in one word in Japanese.
We may be able to feel "Saudade" through their performance, as they have been active in Brazil and Portugal.
