Naoko Kato Piano Recital

This is a new piano recital by Naoko Kato that goes beyond the traditional solo recital and utilizes a specially created digital orchestral accompaniment. The program includes recital selections such as Chopin's Aeolian Harp, Hero Polonaise, and Pieces by Clement Slavitsky, as well as Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue and Rachmaninoff's Concerto No. 2 as the set list for a one-pianist recital. The Virtual Orchestra, with Michael Nanasakov as co-conductor, demonstrates the optimal preparation and rehearsal environment for piano concertos as a tool that can be used by upcoming pianists.

Naoko Kato

Born in Tokyo, Naoko Kato began playing the piano at the age of five. After graduating from Musashino Academia Musicae High School, she went on to graduate from Musashino Academia Musicae with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education and a Master of Music in Piano from Musashino Academia Musicae. Studied piano under E. Ashkenazy, L. Simon, B. Tschack, and Kyoko Ito. Passed the 39th Ienaga Piano Audition. First prize in the piano section of the 9th and 15th Beten Music Competition. Winner of the 2nd Blue-t Piano Concerto Competition. Performed as a soloist in "Rhapsody in Blue" at the Nerima Culture Center Grand Hall, Suginami Public Hall, and many other halls. Overseas, she gave recitals at the official residences of the Consulate-General of Australia in Gold Coast and Brisbane. She also serves as organist at Shimoigusa Catholic Church, which she has attended since her childhood. He is a member of the Japan Federation of Musicians.

Michael Nanasakov
Michael Nanasakov has been active since 1991 as a virtual pianist using a computer and an automatic piano, recording superb piano arrangements of Chopin-Godowsky, Bach-Stradal, etc. He has produced more than 20 CDs, which are available on Apple, Spotify, amazon, etc. He has recorded more than 20 CDs of superb piano arrangements by Bach-Stradal and others. He has been working with Naoko Kato on "Invention: Concerto as a Recital Program" since 2022, and is currently expanding his repertoire. All data will be released to the public domain in a few years.
