Yamagata Terrsa Terrsa Hall (Yamagata)

The Alte Orchestra was formed in 1999 by members with ties to Yamagata, and is an amateur orchestra active mainly in Yamagata City.
Since the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, the orchestra has continued its "Young Performers Series" with the aim of bringing fresh and energetic performances by young performers who bear the future to their hometown. This year's concert, the 27th in the series, will feature pianist Fuyuka Morinaga, a graduate student at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, as soloist, along with volunteer members of the Academy Strings Ensemble, a student orchestra, performing Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No. 2. Beethoven's Symphony No. 8, with its bright and cheerful tone, has been selected to fit the atmosphere of May.
We look forward to seeing you there.
