Heiligenstadt Philharmonic Orchestra 8th Concert

The Heiligenstadt Philharmonic Orchestra is a new orchestra launched in Tokyo in 2019 by a group of amateur players who love the fragrant traditional sound of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, which is considered the best in the world. The wind and percussion section uses the same Viennese-style instruments as the Vienna Philharmonic - the so-called wienerhorn, wiener oboe, Wiener Akademie-style clarinet, and Schneller-style timpani. Heiligenstadt" is the name of a place in Vienna's 19th district, famous for the paths and houses where Beethoven wrote his last will and testament, and for the heurige (local wine taverns) where he wrote his country symphonies. We hope that you will feel the life of a place that continues to be loved by Viennese and tourists alike through our sound.

The first half of this concert will feature Mozart's rarely performed one-act opera "The Theater Manager," with the exception of the overture. The music alone is less than 30 minutes long, but the aria "I am the prima donna" with a series of superb high notes in the soprano and the lively vaudeville-style finale are all worth listening to. The program will be presented in concert format with Yoshitomo Kawachi as conductor, Tsutomu Nasuda as navigator, and Shiorina Ogawa as singer. The closing is young Beethoven's ambitious (problematic?) work, Symphony No. 1. Symphony No. 1.
