Narashino City Daiichi Junior High School Orchestra Club
Established in 1950 as "Ensemble Club". At first, it was mainly a reed ensemble with accordions, etc., but it gradually became a wind, string, and percussion ensemble, and was renamed the "Orchestral Music Club" in 1954, and continues to this day. With the support of the local community, the club has participated in national-level competitions for many years and is also actively involved in local performances. This year, they performed in the Japan School Ensemble Competition and the TBS Children's Music Competition, performing III. from "Umi" (Sea). They performed "Dialogue with Wind and Sea" from "Umi" at the Japan School Ensemble Contest and the TBS Children's Music Contest, and won the "Grand Prize and Koriyama Mayor's Prize" at the National School Ensemble Contest Grand Contest. Also, his string sextet won the "Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award" at the TBS Children's Music Contest National Competition in the duet category.
