The "Entrance to Classical Music" series is a series of recitals featuring masterpieces of piano music with original commentary by Kanon Wada, who has sought to make classical music accessible to those who have not had much exposure to it.
The theme of this third recital is "Peace of Water.
On a weekday evening in the city where you can feel the sea breeze, we will present a program of music that will soothe your fatigue and give you energy for tomorrow.
<Wada Kanon Profile
Born in Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture. After attending the Music High School attached to the Faculty of Music of Tokyo University of the Arts and Tokyo University of the Arts, she completed the master's course of the Graduate School of Music at the same university. Currently, in addition to her solo performance activities, she is active as an accompanist for instrumental music, vocal music, and chorus, including serving as an official accompanist for competitions. He is also involved in supervising and administering the "Music Proficiency Test" by the Japan Music Association and promoting solfege learning.
While still a student, she has been searching for ways to express herself as a performer, and holds a "solo recital" once a year in which she expresses her feelings and thoughts in the form of a concert. In addition, she has been well-received for her "Entrance to Classical Music" series, which features masterpieces of piano music with her unique interpretations and commentaries that seek to make the music accessible.
He has won many prizes in competitions, including the first prize at the 9th Enschede International Piano Competition for Young Musicians held in the Netherlands.
He was awarded the Ryohei Miyata Prize at Tokyo University of the Arts, and performed with the Philharmonia Orchestra of the University of the Arts at the Morning Concert for students with outstanding academic achievements. He has also performed with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra.
Currently, he is a part-time lecturer at the Department of Piano at Tokyo University of the Arts.
