Kenji Miyazawa: The Story of Chunce and Pose
2025/04/19(sa.) 15:00 Starting
Koganei Miyaji Gakki Hall Small Hall (Tokyo)
Official https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16VJC5wxVQ/?mibextid=wwXIfr
This is a concert of story reading and music.
This time, we will feature a work by Kenji Miyazawa, which is often requested. The Futago no Hoshi" is a popular story that was first performed at the same hall in 2018 and was performed again at the Sengawa Theater in 2019.
The program "Futago no Hoshi" by Kenji Miyazawa will be performed with recitation, clarinet, violin, piano, and reed organ. The music of this piece has been composed exclusively for this story, and is precisely tailored to each scene. Some of the sounds are used in a slightly unusual way. For example, there is a "growl" caused by the difference in pitch of the sounds, and an old foot-pedal organ (reed organ) is also used.
We hope you can feel the mysterious sound space along with the story.
The two famous poems about the separation from his sister, "The Morning of the Last Farewell" and "Letter Four," will be read out loud only.
Kenichiro Muraoka, a professional sho (Japanese bamboo flute) player, will give a commentary on Kenji's works.
