The Jikei University School of Medicine Music Orchestra

The Orchestra of The Jikei University School of Music is a joint medical orchestra of the Department of Medicine and Nursing of The Jikei University School of Medicine, the Department of Nursing of Keio University, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of St. Luke's University, the Faculty of Nursing of St. Luke's International University, and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences of Hoshi University.
In this concert, we will present "Dance of Death," one of the most famous symphonic poems composed by Saint-Saens, excerpts from "Coppelia," the masterpiece of Dreib, who is also called the father of French ballet music, and Symphony No. 4, which Brahms said was his favorite among his own works.
We have been practicing and working hard every day, and have been sincerely devoted to music, and now we will finally present to you the fruits of our labor. For this concert, we have carefully selected works that will allow you to enjoy the magnificent sound of the orchestra. We hope you will enjoy the energy and passion that only students can bring to their performances.
