Finzi's Swan Song, only the second of its kind in Japan and one that has never been performed by a professional orchestra (presumably).
Following Dvoják and Elgar, here are the new three great modern cello concertos!
The most cherished music of soloists, conductors, and orchestras now!

This concert is the 1,895th TCC, which is held as the "Toyota Community Concert (TCC)" in cooperation with Toyota Motor Corporation (hereinafter referred to as Toyota), Toyota dealership groups and amateur orchestras in various regions.

This year's TCC will be the 1,895th in total.

This will be the second performance of Finzi's Cello Concerto in A minor in Japan, and it is said that no professional orchestra has ever performed this piece. This 40-minute piece, Finzi's last work, was written while thinking of his beloved wife whom he left behind after his own incurable illness, and is a beautiful piece in which the orchestra and cello interact closely together.

Brahms: Symphony No. 1 in C minor is already known to many music fans as the work that launched Brahms' career and his friendship with Mr. and Mrs. Schumann, who introduced him to the world, was a major influence behind its composition.

Despite the difference in popularity, we hope you will enjoy "a piece of music written for someone special that everyone cherished" under the sincere musical direction of conductor Yasunori Oichi.

As part of the SDGs project, a food drive will be held with the cooperation of the Wako City Council of Social Welfare, and plastic bottle caps will be collected for the Japan Committee for Vaccines for the World's Children (JCV), a certified NPO. We would appreciate your cooperation when you come to the event.
