Evergreen Philharmonic Orchestra 6th Concert

[Introduction of the orchestra
Our group was founded in 2019 as the Evergreen String Orchestra by volunteers who graduated from the Tokyo University of Agriculture Agricultural Society Orchestra Club.
Since 2021, we have changed the name of the orchestra to Evergreen Philharmonic Orchestra as we are working on not only string music but also orchestral music.

Currently, not only alumni but also a wide range of members belong to the orchestra, and under the energetic guidance of Akira Miyauchi, violinist of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, we are practicing every day to perform better.

Conductor
He entered Toho Gakuen School of Music in 1983. He studied under Toshiya Eto, Isako Shinozaki, Kiyoshi Okayama, and T. Christian. In 1992, he formed the Lark String Quartet with members of the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, and in 1993, he was recommended for a full scholarship at the First Osaka International Chamber Music Competition. In 1995 and 1997, he completed master classes at the International Academy of Music in Vienna, and in 1999, he won the Encouragement Prize at the 9th All Japan Soloist Contest.
He is active in all aspects of chamber music. She is a violin trainer for the Tokyo University of Agriculture Nouyuukai Orchestra and a commissioned staff member of the Music Department of Meiji University Nakano Junior and Senior High School. He also teaches numerous amateur orchestras.

Music Programs
Dvorak Symphony No. 8
This symphony was written by Dvořák before he moved to the U.S., and is full of Czechness. We will perform this piece in order to convey to you the Czechness, Dvořák's character, and the character of our orchestra.

Suk String Serenade
This piece was written by Suk, who learned many things from his mentor Dvořák, and also mixed in his own experiences. The Serenade for Strings is also considered to be his crowning achievement. The string orchestra will perform the piece so that the audience can feel the feelings and emotions that Suk had in this piece.

Mozart: The Magic Flute Overture
We have always included Mozart's music in our programs. This time, we will perform Mozart's most famous piece, The Magic Flute. Please enjoy Mozart's beautiful melodies.
