Takuya Imahori Composition Solo Exhibition vol. 2
2025/01/29(We.) 19:00 Starting
This is the second composition solo exhibition concert by Takuya Imahori, a composer who has studied in France, Switzerland, and Italy.
In the first piece, "Trio," you will hear a climax built up by the intertwining of harmonic spectral changes that distort natural overtone sequences and rhythms with irrational note values in the language of avant-garde contemporary music.
The program will continue with a work by Maurice Duruflé, whose compositions and religious views became the norm, and the "Sonata fantastique," a work written in his youth when he admired French modern music.
The last new work, "Itaparica Rhapsody," is based on his stay on the Brazilian island of Itaparica, where he saw and heard the procession of the Lord's Day of the Branch, a Catholic Holy Week event, and the Candomblé, an indigenous religion of African origin that differs from Christianity. The composition is faithfully notated based on local recordings and recordings, and is composed from these recordings and recordings with a very thin layer of ornamentation, and as a fieldwork-like composition, it has a new basis not seen in Imahori's previous works.
