In the winter of 2018, this group was formed by former members of the Waseda University Symphony Orchestra.
We came together to pursue better music despite our busy lives of work, research, and family. We chose the name "Roots," which means "cultural and social roots" or "spiritual home," to express our desire to be a place where we can gather again anytime, even if we temporarily scatter due to changes in our life stages.

Since then, through a series of small chamber music concerts, many attractive amateur players have joined the group and become our friends.

This time, more than 20 of them will come together for a string ensemble concert. The amateur players, who have gained experience on numerous stages, will present supreme masterpieces with all their hearts.
We hope you will enjoy a time of rich illumination, like the colorful "prism" of light that shines through the venue.
