　Thank you for visiting our website. We are The Roots Ensemble Tokyo, an amateur performing group; we formed this group in the winter of 2018, mainly from the Waseda University Symphony Orchestra.
　We have come together to pursue better music while each of us is busy with work, research, and family life. We chose the name "Roots," which means "cultural and social root" or "spiritual home," to express our wish to be a place where we can gather again anytime, even if we temporarily scatter due to changes in our life stages.

　Since then, through a series of small chamber music concerts, many attractive players have joined the group and become our friends.

　This time, more than 20 of them will come together for a string ensemble concert. The players, who have gained experience on numerous stages, will wholeheartedly present supreme masterpieces.
　We hope you will enjoy a time of rich illumination, just like "Prism", the colorful brilliance of the gathered lights.
