Poisson Philharmonic Orchestra (a.k.a. Ayuoke) is an amateur orchestra formed in 2018 by volunteers mainly from Gifu.

Poisson (Poisson) means fish in French. The name "Poisson" is derived from the image of ayu (sweetfish), which is the prefectural fish of Gifu Prefecture and is caught by cormorants on the Nagara River, which flows through the center of Gifu City. The ayu fish is the symbol of the orchestra.
