Many foreign musicians left their mark on Italy from the late 16th to the 18th century. In this series of "Italian Baroque Music in Transition vol.43,44", we will focus on the works of foreign composers who colored the Italian Baroque.

In vol. 43, which will be held on February 22, we will introduce works by composers who absorbed Italian music of the late 17th and 18th centuries, such as Handel and Ottore, whose works strongly reflect the influence of Corelli, who created a new sonata form in the early 18th century, and Hasse, who was active in the Italian opera world as a young man. The program will feature works by composers who absorbed Italian music of the late 17th and 18th centuries and developed their own unique styles.

In vol. 44, which will be held on July 12, we will also enjoy works by Ospel, Ortiz, and others who visited Italy from the late 16th to the 17th century, a time of great musical change from the Renaissance to the Baroque, and influenced Italian music, as well as works by Froberger and others who learned new Italian music and transmitted it to their home countries. Through these works, the exhibition will highlight the influence of both foreign and Italian composers.
