Orchestra Matryoshka was founded by Dr. Morikawa, a medical officer who graduated from National Defense Medical College, as a conductor while he was a student at National Defense Medical College (2003). The orchestra is mainly composed of students and alumni of the National Defense Medical College, and currently gives a concert once a year as an orchestra including general members of society and students. In the past, the orchestra has performed a wide range of German and Russian music, including symphonies by Beethoven and Brahms, symphonies and ballet suites by Tchaikovsky, etc. In recent years, the orchestra has also taken up French music, gradually expanding its repertoire.
In addition, a lobby concert organized by Mr. Iwaki of the 30th term is scheduled to be held from around 1:30 p.m. before the concert begins.
